2026년 8월 24일부터 27일까지 벨기에 브뤼셀에서 “하구 및 연안 과학 협회(ECSA 61: Bridging the gap between science and policy in estuarine and coastal marine biodiversity: the way forward)” 국제학회가 개최되었습니다.
ECSA 학회는 연구원, 교육자 및 실무자로 구성된 글로벌 다학문 커뮤니티를 한데 모아 과학(자연 및 사회 모두) 및 급변하는 하구 및 연안 관리에서 중요한 문제를 다루는 학회입니다. 이번 ECSA 61에는 하구 및 연안의 물리적 성질 및 프로세스 변화, 생지화학적 프로세스, 생태계 구조 기능 변화, 관리 및 거버넌스에 관한 주제로 다양한 발표가 있었습니다.
저희 Benthos 연구실에서는 윤서준 교수님, 김태우 교수님, 김호상 박사, 김영은 학생이 학회에 참석하였고, 국립군산대학교와 국립공주대학교에서도 참석하였습니다.
아래와 같은 주제로 발표를 진행하였습니다.
윤서준 교수님 - “Environmental drivers and management effects on subtidal blue carbon in the territorial waters of South Korea”
김태우 교수님 - “Integrated assessment of the natural purification capacity of tidal flat for persistent toxic substances and heavy metals in contaminated sediments”
김호상 박사 - “Environmental regulation of benthic microalgal resuspension and exchange in the Garorim Bay tidal flat”
김영은 학생 - “Cross-shore variations in organic carbon storage and sources across bare tidal flats of South Korea”
